Which Finish Do I Need?

When it comes to selecting a top coat, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Your choice will depend on several factors: the sheen you desire, the level of protection required, and the color of your paint. Here’s a guide to help you choose the perfect top coat to achieve your desired look and durability.

Tough Coat

Tough Coat is your ideal solution for high-traffic surfaces, such as tabletops, kitchen cabinets, and kids' furniture—anything that endures heavy use. This water-based, non-yellowing sealer can be easily applied with a damp cloth and dries to a smooth, matte finish. You won't have to worry about brush marks or complicated application. Tough Coat is available in both matte and glossy finishes.

Ultra Guard

Ultra Guard is Fusion's heavy-duty exterior topcoat designed for outdoor furniture, doors, and any items exposed to the elements. It offers long-lasting UV and weather protection without compromising the appearance of your paint.

All-Natural and Food-Safe Finishes

For cutting boards, salad bowls, children's toys, or any surfaces that come into contact with food, the following finishes are recommended: Hemp Oil, Beeswax/Hemp Blend, and Salad Bowl Finish. All of these options are 100% natural and food-safe. Additionally, they enhance the vibrancy of colors when applied over Milk Paint.

Always remember to apply oil or wax as the final step.
