Alchemy and Milk Paint by Fusion
If you haven't already seen the newest additions to the Fusion Mineral Paint line, you're missing out! These items are the perfect options that customers would feel comfortable using. Since we started with Fusion Mineral Paint and given that everyone we have worked with loves the quality of the paint, we figured it was a no-brainer to add the rest of the line.
So, what actually is Milk Paint, and how does it differ from other paints on the market?
-
- It produces a look and feels like no other paint, from a smooth and refined finish to a rustic chippy distressed look.
- Only real Milk Paint comes in powder, giving you this unique look. Watch out for pre-mixed copycats on the market that do not yield the same results, such as the chippy look.
- It comes in powder – just mix it with water. Unused powder can be stored indefinitely.
- It’s your turn to get creative and achieve any look from a stain to a textured finish with one product; you’re in control simply by how much water you add.
- No brush strokes. Really, none! It mixes to a thin paint, so it self-levels flawlessly.
- To bring out the true intensity of the color and protect the paint from water marking, add a topcoat of your choice. We recommend using wax or Hemp Oil for most projects. Stain & Finishing Oil is ideal for kitchen tables or cabinets, providing a more durable finish.
- It will never chip or peel when applied to a porous surface such as bare wood or plaster.
- Get the unique chippy look only doable with Milk Paint. This will only happen when painting onto a surface with a previous glossy coating or wax. Want to make it chip? Learn how in this video here:
- Can be applied to laminate plastic, metal, or glass by adding the Bonding Agent.
What Makes Alchemy Different?
Alchemy by Fusion brings you the sought-after, familiar chalk-like qualities, combined with Fusion and Milk Paint’s durability. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or are an advanced furniture painter, Alchemy is your creative partner.
Alchemy is similar to Milk Paint as it requires a topcoat to seal the paint and heightens the vibrancy of the hue at the same time. We recommend applying a topcoat to all pieces that will be in heavy use for added durability. However, you can choose to leave it bare to maintain its ultra-flat finish.
We can't wait to see what projects are completed with each of the lines we now offer! Always feel free to ask questions or visit the store at your convenience.
