When it comes to your painted finishes, we recommend choosing techniques that will give your painted pieces a casual, well-worn look. Coastal doesn't need to be perfect - brushstrokes, distressed edges, layered colors, and waxed details are all appropriate.

Apply a Washed Finish to highlight natural wood grains and give pieces a weathered feel, a Basic Finish for a soft, hand painted look, or a Distressed Finish for a slightly rustic approach.

You may also choose to leave some wood items unpainted and simply apply Jolie Finishing Wax to bring out the natural character of the wood.
